Hello world.
This is the page where I tell a little about myself. I created this website because I thought it would be a much more fun way of browsing my CV, and a much better way of showing off both skills as well as personality.
Admittedly, I made the layout and structure of the site a couple of years before I had fully grasped the potential of stylesheets and before I had a clue about SEO, so it's a bit naff. Will change it at some point.

I was born in the early '80s and grew up in Stenungsund on the west coast of Sweden. Did Media Studies in school, and later went on to a professional education in radio broadcasting in Båstad - home of the Swedish Open tennis tournament.
I moved to Nottingham in the end of 2004, after finding love. For a couple of years, I worked as technical support for a leading home electronics chain in the UK and Scandinavia, but decided to leave that place behind, as it wasn't going anywhere.
Apart from the obvious interests (web design, computers, radio and photography, that sort of thing), I enjoy reading and writing (fact, fiction, song lyrics, screenplays - not fussed about genre), Irish folk music, Sam Neill movies, anything Harry Potter, snooker and I love animals!

Three things I like about me:
- Integrity. Some things you just don't do.
- I like to do things properly and thoroughly. If I - for instance - build a house today, I'd like to not have to make major structural repairs to it 10 years down the line...
- I don't play games with people. If I have something to say, I'll say what I mean and not hide things between the lines.
Three things I don't like about me:
- Can come across as arrogant, which tends to surprise me, because I'm normally not arrogant at all, it's just the way I phrase things.
- Disorganisation. Which is strange, because at the same time, I'm extremely organised. No, I can't quite wrap my head around that one either. ;)
- Tendency to sulk if I don't understand something or can't figure something out.

Things that bug me:
- Lack of personal responsibility. It's not someone else's problem - it's YOUR problem.
- Falsehood. Sure, not keen on lying, but what I mean here is when people will be ever so nice to someone as long as they're there and then slag them off as soon as they're not there.
- Stupidity and ignorance. RTFM! There is a reason why they write manuals.
- Application spam on Facebook.
Things that make me go "yay!":
- Spring flowers in the garden.
- People who don't take things for granted and who don't assume things.
- Harvesting home-grown tomatoes and strawberries.
- Peace treaties.

P.S. The photos of me on this page are pretty old now (taken in late 2000 or early 2001, I think), but I like them as they're very expressive. :) They also look a bit nicer than a bunch of silly webcam pictures. And before anyone asks, no, that's not my natural hair colour.
